About Beau Fixe

Beau Fixe answers one simple question: where can I go to get the weather I want, on my dates? The site ranks 2,500 destinations by the real probability that the requested conditions are met: afternoon warmth, sea temperature, rain, humidity. That probability is measured over ten years of records (2015-2024), fortnight by fortnight, destination by destination.

It is not a forecast. Beyond about two weeks no forecast is reliable; climatology tells you what happened nine years out of ten. It is the best compass there is for choosing a destination weeks or months ahead.

Where the data comes from. Air, rain and humidity come from the ERA5-Land reanalysis of the European Copernicus programme, served by Open-Meteo; sea temperature comes from NOAA OISST. Each page also carries dated facts to prepare the trip: safety (official advisories, zones reviewed by hand), entry rules by passport, health. Sources and licences are listed in the legal notice.

Who. Beau Fixe is published by GVN CONSULTING, a French company based in Paris, run by Bilel Hamza. The site is bilingual, free and ad-free; booking links carry no commission to date, and destination rankings will never depend on a partner.

What we do not do. We do not forecast the weather of your travel day, we do not sell trips, and we are neither a health nor a safety authority: we summarise dated public texts and always link to the official source.
