- **Safety** : Area advised against: all travel. Bosaso lies in an area where authorities advise against all travel. Areas concerned: the whole country; the Awdal, Maroodijeh and Sahil regions (Somaliland, incl. Berbera) are advised against except for essential travel. - **Entry** (British passport) : E-visa to apply for online before departure. Passport valid for at least 6 months. eVisa needed before arriving at Mogadishu (a data breach of the eVisa system is reported); at Hargeisa (Somaliland) a one-month visa is bought on arrival. - **Vaccines** : typhoid recommended for most travellers; hepatitis A and hepatitis B if you are not already vaccinated; rabies, cholera and polio depending on activities and areas visited. Routine vaccines up to date (measles in particular).
